9/26/2023 0 Comments Steam freedom planet 2Ill watch youtube if i wanna see the story unfold I cant take it seriously, bc it itself doesnt take itself seriously a lto of times, and then takes itself SO seriously, i just facepalm alil bit.īut the strong silent type ala Sonic is preferable to me. i dont care for the whiplash tonal changes where its romcom and then life or death next scene. Its personally justnever hit with me, in fp1 or fp2. love the game, love the characters - really hate the dialogue. give it to them by choice, same as last game GalaxyTrail put tons of time and effort into the hub areas, NPCs, world map, and cutscenes so can you really blame them for wanting players to experience that first and foremost? I get that people don't like it but I think players should give it a chance. Of course, gameplay always matters more but I'm just saying, it helps makes games intriguing. so I do think giving players the choice might be valuable. I still think my preference stands and I do think some players will just ignore the content or find mods around it regardless. I do really respect that work - the story and cutscenes were something I really enjoyed in a couple of my playthroughs of Freedom Planet 1. Not to mention FP2 takes some cues from Adventure 1 and 2 as it goes on. Main series wise, so 1, CD, 2, 3K, SA1, SA2. You know, the one platforming series that dared to have an escalating story since the very beginning when the closest competition was just “save princess”. Especially since this series started of as a Sonic fan game. I think having stories or at least lore is important in games like Freedom Planet to help make them more interesting and stand out from other indie games. Whether the story is good or tolerable is a whole different subject but whatever is the case, I think it's sad that some people won't even give it a chance. I just really enjoy the smooth transition from level to level in my platformers. Originally posted by Joyous Rebel:I mean, cutscenes are cool.
